Jesters cafè and Bungay Castle Visitors Centre
Jesters Cafè and Bungay Castle Visitors Centre 10 Castle Orchard Bungay NR35 1DD Phone:01986 896485
Jesters is also home to the Bungay Bigod Castle visitors centre. From here you can get access to Bungay Castle for about £1 and then spend a peaceful hour or so exploring the ruins of the castle. When you are done you can enjoy a cup of tea, coffee, ice-cream etc inside the cafè or better still on a nice day sit outside in the courtyard area.

A view from inside of Bungay Castle showing the two gate towers and looking out over Earshot and the Waveney Valley.
There is lots of nearby car parking either free of charge on street in Broad Street or on the Castle Hills pay and display car park which is behind the “Factory Shop” as you drive through Bungay town centre. The Cafè is a good place to get some refreshments if you plan to do the Godric Cycle Route around Bungay and the Waveney value.
