Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is the working raptor rescue and education centre at Stonham Aspal — a charity that takes in injured and abandoned owls, hawks, falcons and eagles, rehabilitates and (where possible) re-releases them. The visitor experience is built around two daily flying displays, walk-through aviaries, and a small woodland walk through native habitat. It works particularly well for primary-age children who are interested in birds of prey.

What to expect on a family visit
Half-day. Two flying displays a day at fixed times — plan your visit around them. Indoor café and gift shop; outdoor picnic areas. Pre-booking is rarely necessary; busiest in school holidays. The sanctuary is a registered charity — most of the entry fee goes to rehabilitation work.
